Matcha Overnight Oats

  • Chill time: At least 4 hours, or overnight
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • cup ( g) rolled oats
  • tbsp chia seeds
  • tsp culinary grade matcha powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • cup ( mL) milk of your choice
  • tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • cup ( g) plain Greek yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • Toppings: Fresh berries, sliced almonds, coconut flakes

Instructions:

  1. In a jar or a container with a lid, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, matcha powder, and salt. Stir well to distribute the matcha evenly.
  2. Pour in the milk and maple syrup. Add the Greek yogurt if using.
  3. Stir everything together until well combined and there are no dry spots or matcha clumps.
  4. Secure the lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, give it a good stir. If it's too thick, add a splash more milk.
  6. Top with your favorite fruits, nuts, and seeds before serving.
