White Chocolate Chip Matcha Cookies

Ingredients:

  • cups ( g) all-purpose flour
  • tbsp culinary grade matcha powder
  • tsp baking soda
  • tsp salt
  • cup ( g) unsalted butter, softened
  • cup ( g) granulated sugar
  • cup ( g) packed brown sugar
  • large egg
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • cup ( g) white chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to () and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift the matcha first if it's clumpy.
  3. In a separate large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
